PINE GROVE BOROUGH

America's best hidden secrets are found in small towns

About Us

Incorporated in 1832, Pine Grove is a small Borough located in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania. The Swatara Creek runs through the Borough and was used for transporting coal and other goods as part of the Union Canal in the early days.  The route of the creek through Pine Grove is now used for fishing, kayaking, tubing and other outdoor activities.  The early railroads which were also part of the early settlers transportation and trade routes have been transformed throughout the area as nature and reserve trails.
Growing from population in an 1860 census of 503, Pine Grove Borough has recently registered 2,186 strong in the 2010 census.
